Futurism and exaggereted faith in technology often do not address social-economic repression processes at all. Relying solely on technological solutions overlooks the social and economic disparities perpetuated by these systemic issues. Embracing this singular approach risks deepening the divide, potentially leading to a dystopian future where access to adequate housing and liviing in the center of a city becomes a luxury rather than a fundamental right. While technological advancements hold promise for solving complex problems, they cannot operate in isolation from the underlying social and economic structures. Ignoring these structures perpetuates inequality and marginalization, exacerbating the very issues futurism once aims to address when it was first introduced. Consequently, a holistic approach that considers both technological innovation and social reform is essential for creating a future where basic rights are universally accessible, ensuring a more equitable society for all. This comprehensive approach necessitates collaboration between technologists, policymakers, and communities to enact meaningful change and address the root causes of social-economic repression.
